ABSTRACT:
A Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Videotaped Instruction on Knowledge regarding Child CPR among Nursing Staff of Selected Oswal Aayush Hospital at Jamnagar. The objectives of the study to formulate planned teaching program regarding videotaped instruction on knowledge regarding child Cardio pulmonary resuscitation among nursing staff. (c) To determine association between the pre -test and post test score with selected socio demographic variables. (d)To evaluate the effectiveness of planned teaching program regarding videotaped instruction on knowledge regarding child Cardio pulmonary resuscitation among nursing staff. The research approach selected for the study was Quantitative research approach and quasi-experimental research – one group pre-test post-test design. The study was conducted at selected hospital at Jamnagar. Total 40 samples were selected from selected hospital based on Simple random sampling technique. The researcher used structured questionnaire for data collection regarding demographic variables and pre-test. As a part of Videotaped Instruction on Knowledge Regarding Child CPR was carried out among Nursing Staff of Selected Hospital Jamnagar. The post-test score was measured with the same questionnaires after 7days. The collected data were analyzed by using inferential statistical method. t- test was used to evaluate the Evaluate the Effectiveness of Videotaped Instruction on Knowledge Regarding Child CPR Among Nursing Staff. It revealed that the mean score of pretests was 18 and posttest was 32. The Mean difference was 14. The obtained ‘t’ value 18.35. Hence it was highly significant p<0.05 level. Hence their findings of the study revealed that the Structured Teaching Programme was effective in improving knowledge regarding Child CPR.
